Summertime and the livin’ is easy in Villa Louisa

George Gershwin composed in 1935 the opera Porgy and Bess.  The best known aria of this opera is  the sweet “Summertime” which became very popular especially after its conversion to jazz music.

Summertime,
And the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’
And the cotton is high

Oh, Your daddy’s rich
And your mamma’s good lookin’
So hush little baby
Don’t you cry

This marvelous song was sung by many singers but a special mention should be attributed to Ella Fitzgerald.

Well, the words may refer to the soul music country but this is not exclusive. Its meaning extends for sure to far more places.  Summertime is really the easiest time of the year and in Villa Louisa we do enjoy every single day of it. Just imagine yourselves lying in the sun, swimming in Aegean sea or pool, walking around in the Castle or in Nature, hearing the birds singing, eating fresh fish directly from the fishermen’s boat and drinking delicious local wine.
