Gerakas the sea river

In about 20 kilometers north of Monemvasia there is place unique in Greece in that it resembles the Norwegian fjords .

This is a place were the sea comes into the land and there an island was formed.  The place is extremely beautiful and it was declared as Natural Park for Protected Species – especially some rare birds.
